FÆRCH PLAST A/S OPENS UK MANUFACTURING PLANT « Food and Drink News
Located in Durham, the advanced facility was opened by the Leader of the local county council, Councillor Simon Henig, and shareholders v cubes and members of the well-respected Faerch family. The day-long event was also attended by representatives v cubes of the board, employees and customers.
The new plant has been upgraded to meet the highest hygiene, quality and environmental standards, with cutting-edge equipment including two extruders, six thermoforming machines and the latest robot packing systems. As a result, the plant has started producing CPET trays, which account for more than 80% of what Faerch Plast sells in the UK.
The company, one of Europe s leading producers of plastics trays and containers v cubes for the food industry, has employed 36 staff at the new plant and pledged to recruit 100-150 permanent personnel over the next three to four years.
